If you don’t already know what Trop Rock is, we just found your new favorite genre of music to sit back and smoke up to.  Hailing from Santa Barbara, Ca, Layovr recently dropped their debut, self titled EP, which will introduce you to the unique sound that these guys are pioneering.  Combining elements of reggae, rock and pop, these classically trained jazz musicians have put a spin all their own on the laid back vibe we love here at Four Twenty Trading Co.

    

Comprised of members Kevin Harvey, Joe Farey, Thomas Semow and Evan Monroe, Layovr marks a new project for this group that has played together for a number of years in a group know as The Fire Department.  They followed the release of their first single, “Dusk ’Til Dawn,” with the equally excellent “Take the Rest of Me,” both of which can be found on the EP, which is streaming on most musical platforms.

     

As if rolling one up and listening to some Trop Rock wasn't enough on its own, as a special treat for our SoCal stoner friends, the Layovr EP release show will be tonight, Thursday, March 31, at Soho restaurant and music club, in Santa Barbara, CA, where you will have a chance to see just how talented these guys are live!  Stay tuned for updates on futures shows, as well as some exciting news that we here at Four Twenty Trading Co. will be announcing along with this amazing band!  #BlazeUp and keep the #TropRockRising, y'all!
